From 1 Corinthians 10:13

“13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

As sad as it is, it’s easier to sin than to not. Sin often times is the easier of two options. It is often times the option that feels better in this Earthly domain. However, sin draws you further away from God which is not what He wants. So we have options!

Let us pray that we see the way out, and chose it in earnest. Lord, this world is full of temptation. This flesh frequently desires greed, gluttony, and pleasure. We ask that you keep our eyes open to the options that you put before us to not take that path. The short term pleasure that sin brings is not worth putting at risk our eternal inheritance. You protect us, but we must first take the step in seeing the Godly path that you have offered. We throw ourselves humbly at your feet and ask that you intercede and put us on that path. Amen.
